I would not want to stay there if I wanted to be going back and forth downtown. The Avi's location is farther (probably 20 miles) from the other casino's in downtown Laughlin. However, i simply went to the front desk and asked them to change the room- the front desk was easy and accomodating. In fact the entire floor, not just the room was filled with smoke. I personally was first given a smokey room and the other reviewers are right- it was AWFUL.
The Avi has a great and easy launch ramp that hotel guests can use (no one actually verified that we were hotel guests, but i was told by security that they were going to start during the busy season.) The rooms are ok- but who really goes to Laughlin to hang out in the hotel room. This is the perfect hotel for someone looking to store their boat overnight and boat down the river.
